Hi, I’m Aoife. Mam to almost 1-year-old Finny and an early intervention specialist with over a decade of experience supporting children’s development. I’ve seen first hand how play helps children grow - building confidence, sparking imagination, and learning through fun.

The idea for The Soft Spot came after seeing how much Finny loved soft play and noticing how little there was at parties for babies and toddlers to enjoy together. I wanted to create something safe, developmentally supportive, and above all, fun - a space where children can play happily, and parents can relax and enjoy the day too.

As a mam, I know how much worry there is around what children are exposed to. There are so many hidden chemicals in everyday products, and I wanted to make sure that wasn’t the case with The Soft Spot. That’s why every set we use is made from IGLU® premium soft play and placed on Toddlekind® safety mats — all of which are non-toxic, BPA-free, phthalate-free, lead-free, and PVC-free.
