  • At The Soft Spot, safety and cleanliness are just as important as fun. To ensure every hire runs smoothly, please follow the rules below. These form part of your booking agreement.

    Supervision & Responsibility

    • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

    • The hirer is responsible for the safety and of all children using the equipment during the hire period.

    Age Range

    • Our soft play sets are designed for children aged 1–5 years.

    • Older children are free to join in once supervised

    Shoes, Food & Drinks

    • No shoes on the mats or equipment

    • No food, drinks, sweets, chewing gum, or sharp objects are allowed in the play area.

    • Please wipe children’s hands and faces after eating before returning to play.

      Use of Equipment

    • Do not climb, lean, or sit on the outside walls of the ball pit.

    • All play equipment must remain within the safety mat area at all times.

    • Please do not drag or throw pieces in a way that could damage them.

    • The equipment is for indoor use only unless otherwise agreed.

    Health & Safety

    • Please ensure children with face paint, messy crafts, or glitter do not use the equipment, as these can permanently stain.

    • No smoking, vaping, pets, or open flames near the set-up.

    • Remove any jewellery, badges, or sharp objects from clothing before play.

    Cleaning & Damage

    • The hirer will be responsible for any damage, loss, or excessive cleaning required.

    • Please treat the equipment with care so it can be enjoyed by many families.

    Delivery & Collection

    • The equipment will be set up in the agreed location.

    • Please ensure the area is clear and safe and swept/hoovered before delivery.

    • At collection, all balls should be returned to the ball pit/bag

  • We’ve got two packages:

    The Party Set includes a ball pit, soft stairs, a slide, a tunnel with mini stairs and slide and two rockers.

    The Mega Castle is a build-your-own block setup – perfect for climbing, crawling, and creative play

    Both are suitable for indoor use only (for now!).


  • Right now, we deliver across Limerick City and within approx a 50km radius. We hope to expand further in the near future - so keep your eyes peeled, because The Soft Spot might be coming to your area soon!

  • Our rentals are for the day of your event, and we’ll collect everything that evening once the fun is over.

    For family parties at home, we can sometimes arrange a next-morning collection if it suits — just let us know when booking.

    The price is the same whether we collect in the evening or the following morning.

  • Our sets are designed for children aged 1–5 years. They’re perfect for toddlers exploring movement and little ones up to preschool age.

  • You’ll need a clear floor space of about 15m² (roughly the size of a large living room or two average rooms side by side). This allows enough room for both our Mega Castle and Play & Ball Pit sets to be set up safely and enjoyed to the fullest.

    If you’re unsure whether your space will work, just send us a quick photo or the room measurements — we’ll be happy to advise before your booking.

  • Absolutely. Soft play must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. We do not provide supervision.

  • We know little ones can get messy — a light clean is fine, and we will provide appropriate spray and cloths! But significant damage, stains, or misuse may incur a replacement fee.

  • Payment is required in full at the time of booking. This helps us secure your date straight away and keeps the process simple with no extra back and forth.

  • We understand that plans can change, and life with little ones is never predictable!

    • Full refund if you cancel at least 1 month before your booking.

    • 50% refund if you cancel up to 2 weeks before your booking.

    • Within 2 weeks, refunds are at our discretion - but of course, if there’s an emergency or extenuating circumstance, we’ll always do our best to accommodate you.

    This way your booking is secured, and we can keep things running smoothly without too much back-and-forth.

  • Yes, we are fully insured for our soft play hire. For everyone’s safety, we do require parents/guardians to sign a short waiver when booking has been confirmed and payment is made.

    The waiver simply confirms that:

    • Children will always be supervised by at least two responsible adults during play.

    • Parents/guardians take full responsibility for supervision and safe use of the equipment.

    • The Soft Spot cannot be held liable for any accidents or injuries that occur during hire.

    This way, everyone is clear from the start, and you can relax knowing the little ones are safe while they play.

  • At the moment, our sets are for indoor use only. You’ll need a good-sized room with plenty of space to set it up safely and comfortably. We’re working on outdoor options and hope to have beautiful outdoor setups available by next summer — so watch this space!

  • We don’t split or rent out individual pieces of our sets - they are hired as a complete package to keep the play safe, fun, and beautiful.

    That said, you don’t need one big open space! Our sets can be arranged across two adjoining rooms (for example, a sitting room and playroom) as long as there’s enough safe floor space and a level surface. We’ll work with you during set-up to make it fit your home.

  • If the one you want isn’t available, don’t worry. We’ll add your name to our priority list for that date. We’re planning to expand our collection soon, so there’s a good chance we’ll have additional sets available in the near future.
